Product Details

Coated Mica Tape is a new-generation mica-based fire-resistant insulating material built on an advanced coating process. Using high-quality mica paper as the substrate, it introduces an innovative high-performance ceramifiable coating system that deeply couples mica's intrinsic insulating properties with ceramifiable fire resistance. Reinforced with high-toughness fiberglass cloth and bonded with a high-temperature-resistant silicone adhesive, the ceramic coating and mica substrate form a more integrated whole — delivering systematic improvements over conventional mica tape in three dimensions: lapping performance, insulation performance and fire resistance. Heat resistance reaches 950–1000°C. Single-layer lapping passes the 830°C / 90-minute test criteria, with no vertical flame propagation and no dripping, and flame retardancy achieves UL94 V-0. The tape withstands 950–1100°C fire resistance tests for 180 minutes or more, as well as water-spray and vibration test requirements. It can replace the "fire putty + lapping layer" structure to reduce overall cable cost, and can also serve as a fire barrier layer in medium-voltage fire-resistant cables. Compliant with RoHS and REACH, it features no smoke and low smoke emission, providing a more efficient and reliable fire-resistant insulating layer solution for the wire and cable industry.
