Battery Side Plate Mica Safety Part
Mica cloth with a single-side adhesive layer, bonded to the aluminium extrusion beam of a battery side plate. The overlap is kept within 10 mm so the part sits flat against the profile.
The part is specified for long-term service at 800 °C and for exposure to a flame of 1000 °C or above.
Requirements
Technical requirements
- Single-side adhesive: general-purpose oil adhesive DS10G or acrylic adhesive, applied to the extrusion beam with an overlap of not more than 10 mm.
- Withstand voltage: 3000 V AC for 60 s without breakdown or flashover; leakage current below 0.5 mA.
- Insulation: 1000 V DC for 60 s, insulation resistance >500 MΩ.
- Long-term temperature: not lower than 800 °C for at least 60 min, without cracking or burning.
- Fire performance: no penetration within 10 min under a flame of 1000 °C or above.
- Flammability: UL94 V-0 when bonded to the aluminium extrusion beam.
- Compliance: meets RoHS requirements.
