Product Details

Rigid Mica Sheet Series

Rigid mica sheet is built on high-quality mica paper with a high-temperature resistant silicone binder, then baked and pressed at high temperature. It combines excellent electrical insulation with heat resistance and mechanical strength.

It is the material of choice for high-temperature insulation in electric heating equipment and for fire protection in traction and energy-storage batteries.

Applications

Where it is used

  • Home appliances: heating supports, gaskets and baffles for ovens, hair dryers, irons, toasters and microwave ovens.
  • Industrial heating: insulating supports for wire-wound and panel heaters.
  • Electrical equipment: commutator insulation segments for motors; high-temperature insulating parts for metallurgy and chemical processing.
  • New energy: traction batteries and energy-storage batteries.
Properties

What this grade gives you

  • Heat resistance: continuous service at 500–800 °C, intermittent up to 800–1200 °C.
  • Electrical insulation: dielectric strength ≥20 kV/mm with excellent arc resistance.
  • Mechanical strength: high flexural strength, ≥180 N/mm² for some grades.
  • Flammability: rated UL94 V-0.

Notes

Notes on the phlogopite grade

  • Fire resistance: withstands 15 minutes in a flame of not less than 1000 °C without burn-through.
  • Environmental compliance: meets the limits of clause 4.2 in GB/T 30512—2014.
