Phlogopite Mica Tape
Phlogopite mica tape is made from natural phlogopite: the mineral is crushed, pulp is made and dried into mica paper, which is then coated with one or two reinforcing materials such as fiberglass cloth and plastic film and bonded with a high-temperature resistant adhesive.
It is usually used as insulation material at flame temperatures of 750 °C to 830 °C, and is the tape specified for standard fire-resistant cables (Class B).
